Hi there. My name is Jana Woods - born and raised in Hamburg, Germany. Currently residing in Los Angeles, CA. During my International Business and Entrepreneurship studies taking place in San Francisco and London, two global cities, I had the privilege to meet and live closely together with people of a variety of different nationalities. I have started to see the world through the eyes of my closest friends that came from countries such as Mexico, Russia, Venezuela and India. Even though we all came from such different backgrounds, yet, we all came together for the same purpose - to receive an excellent education in the United States. While we are very very privileged to have such opportunity - Not everyone does. Less than half of children in India between the age of 6 and 14 are going to school. As my former German fellow said “Those who have the privilege to know have the duty to act.” (Albert Einstein). We are the ones that are able to make a difference. When my friend Kiley Thomas traveled to India for the first time in her life, she knew that she needs, wants and will make a difference for the children that do not have any opportunities on their own. It is not only her purpose to help, but ours together. Being able to support her with this project and making a greater impact, makes me more than proud and is the biggest gift we have and can bring to life to achieve a greater good. “A chance for change” will make this difference happen together with you.
